Masato Kudo Pass Away at the age of 32, His Cause of Death Explained
The world-class striker Masato Kudo, who was the national champion of his country and who also played for the MLS and Australia, died on Friday. MLS and Australia were pronounced dead on Friday at the operating table prior to the operation on the brain. Kudo was an athlete with “no arrogance and was always very nice to his teammates, the club, and the fans,” said Tegevajaro Miyazaki from his home in the Japanese third division in which he was playing. Kudo began his career at Tokyo Verdy in 2010 before changing to the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2016.
Then, he went back to Japan in order to join Shimizu S-Pulse in 2018. In 2020, he traveled to Australia to play for the Central Coast Mariners.
Kudo was awarded the Japanese title together with Tokyo Verdy in 2011 and was part of the Vancouver Whitecaps team that reached the MLS playoffs in the year 2016. Kudo also played four games for Japan between 2014 and 2015.
How Did Masato Kudo Pass Away?
Masato Kudo was only 32 when he passed away on the surgery table in the morning on Thursday following a brain surgery. Former Japanese international team member suffered an illness that was swift after the brain operation and died.
Kudo was an all-time Japanese international player, and also won his first Japanese tournament alongside Kashiwa Reysol in 2011. Kudo also played briefly playing in the North American MLS, with the Vancouver Whitecaps, and in Australia as part of the Brisbane Roar.
Kudo enjoyed the affection of his team and coaches alike due to his charming personality and radiant smile. Kudo will be missed by everyone who knew him.
