Tuesday, October 11, 2010 (11/11) Tragically, as was expected, John Steinmiller passed away in Milwaukee … It was reported that he had been fighting cancer with determination for a while … It has been a remarkable accomplishment that he has spent 52 seasons playing for the MILW Bucks (1970–2022)…. He was raised at Mount Prospect, graduated from St. Viator (’66), and was the president of the Student Body at Marquette that year when he went on to join the Bucks … He was present for two NBA championships in 1971, with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and 2021 with Giannis … Giannis and Karem Abdul-Jabbar don’t make the best individuals … The wife of his dearest friend, Corinne, was managing the Honey Bears for Jim Finks when they first met … The son, John Henry, oversees media relations for the Blackhawks … Mary Kate, his daughter, has been working in fashion and brand branding for over two decades. The pair had an amazing life, but it’s those who called their friend that will be forever grateful … “Steinie” always showed up …
